Abstract

Three new supramolecular coordination complexes [Zn(Hdmpz)2(O2C(CH2)2CO2)]n (1), Ni3(Hdmpz)4(HOOC(CH2)2CO2)2(O2C(CH2)2CO2)2(CH3OH)2 (2) and Co3(Hdmpz)2(HOOC(CH2)3CO2)2(O2C(CH2)3CO2)2(CH3OH)4 (3) (Hdmpz = 3,5-dimethylpyrazol) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Complex 1 is a polymer with the ZnO4N2 core that is interconnected by bridging succinate moieties into a 1D chain structure. Complexes 2 and 3 are discrete structures, both of them have two types of bridging-coordinated modes of carboxylate ligands (μ3–η2–η2, μ2–η1–η1). And there are rich intra- or intermolecular hydrogen bonds in the crystals of 1–3, thereby forming a set of supramolecular frameworks. In addition, the thermal behaviors of 1–3 were also investigated.
