Abstract
Bis(ferrocenyl)-, mono(ferrocenyl)-, alkenylferrocenyl-, and alkynylferrocenyl-substituted allenylidene complexes of chromium, molybdenum and tungsten, [(CO)5MCCC(R)R′], have been prepared and characterized by various methods and the reactivity of these new compounds towards secondary amines and ynamines has been investigated. Whereas dimethylamine adds across the Cα-Cβ bond of the allenylidene ligand, diethylaminopropyne insert into the Cβ-Cγ bond.
