Abstract
The linkage isomers [Re(NCS)6]2â and [Re(NCS)5(SCN)]2â are formed by reaction of [ReBr6]2â with NCSâ in dimethylformamide. Some differences in the chemical behaviour allowed their separation and structural characterization in the form of (NBu4)2[Re(NCS)6] (1) and [Zn(NO3)(Me2phen)2]2[Re(NCS)5(SCN)] (2), respectively.
