Cobalt(II) coordination compounds with acetate and 2-aminopyridine ligands: Synthesis, characterization, structures and magnetic properties of two polymorphic forms

The synthesis and characterization of two polymorphic modifications of new cobalt coordination compound with 2-aminopyridine are reported. Acetate and 2-aminopyridine ligands in both structures are lying cis about the metal centre. The main reason for asymmetry of acetate ligand chelate bonding in both modifications are intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds.
