Abstract
The solvent coordination in lead benzoate can be different when the reactions are carried out at different temperatures. For example, lead benzoate prepared in methanol at low temperature contains coordinated methanol solvent and has a one dimensional structure, whereas the same reaction at room temperature in aqueous methanol gives two dimensional coordination polymer with water as one of the ligand.
