Abstract
Three new metal-organic complexes, [Co(PCPA)2(4,4â²-bpy)]n (1), [Cu(PCPA)2(4,4â²-bpy)]n (2), [Ag(PCPA)(PCPAH)(4,4â²-bpy) · H2O]n (3) (4,4â²-bpy = 4,4â²-bipyridine; PCPA = p-chlorophenoxyacetate) have been prepared by the two same ligands with metal salts (or oxide) while with different structure of 2-D grids, 1-D linear chain, and 1-D molecular ladder independently. It is interesting that compound 3 is also a supramolecular framework builted by coordination bonds, weak interactions between Ag ions, Ï-Ï stacking interactions and hydrogen-bonded interactions.
