Abstract
In this paper, two organic-inorganic hybrid compounds containing SO42â anion and phen moiety supramolecular complexes have been synthesized and characterized for the first time. The SO42â groups in complexes 1 and 2 are used as counter anions. But the SO42â anion in 1 adopts bidentate mode to coordinate with metal ions and the complex displays one-dimensional polymer. In the case of 2, the uncoordinated SO42â groups are presented. Such effects of the counter anions may provide the prospect of synthesizing new organic-inorganic hybrid transition metal supramolecular complexes by the modification of inorganic ligands and the organic ligands. The two compounds exhibit a broad fluorescent emission bands, and it maybe can use as fluorescent materials. It is believed that more and more hybrid compounds with good luminescent property can be developed.
