Abstract
A polymeric copper(II) complex (3) bridged by methoxide and chloride units is synthesised and structurally characterised. The structure reveals close copper-copper bonding interactions leading to a combination of weak and strong antiferromagnetic interactions via the chloride and methoxide bridges, respectively.
