Abstract
Synthesis and characterization of a new dioxomolybdenum (VI) (ferrocenylmethyleneamino)alcoholate complex and its catalytic activity for olefin epoxidation are described. Influence of temperature, solvent, time and catalyst amount on the overall conversion and selectivity have been investigated. Excellent selectivity (95%) of epoxidation for cyclohexene and good selectivity (77%) for styrene were obtained using tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) as oxidant in the presence of the dioxomolybdenum (VI) complex.
