Abstract
The synthesis and characterization of [AgBr{P(4-MeC6H4)3}]4 has been reported. The current compound has a tetrameric structure with a concave coordination polyhedron, in between a cube and a stella quadrangula. Weak silver-silver interactions were observed. The current compound is compared to the Cl and I analogs using distance-distance plots. The silver-silver interactions seem to dominate the geometry of these tetrameric type of complexes.
