Abstract
The synthesis and characterization by microanalysis, thermal analysis (TG/DSC), electronic and vibrational spectroscopies as well as X-ray diffraction studies of a Zn(II) complex containing the pseudo-oxocarbon Croconate Violet (CV2â) dianion, namely K2[Zn(CV)2(H2O)2] · 2H2O are reported. This compound contains the core [Zn(CV)2]2â that can be used as a novel building subunit for coordination polymers construction.
