Abstract
Chelate complex cis-[Ru(CO)2I2(Pâ©S)] {Pâ©S = η2-(P,S)-coordinated}; non-chelate complexes cis-[Ru(CO)2I2(Pâ¼S)] and [Ru(CO)2I2(Pâ¼S)2] {Pâ¼S = η1-(P)-coordinated} are produced between the reaction of polymeric [Ru(CO)2I2]n and ligands Ph2P(CH2)n = 1-4P(S)Ph2 at different molar ratio. The stability of the complex [Ru(CO)2I2(Pâ©S)] was sufficient for the development of a good crystal which reveals that the ruthenium atom occupies the center of a slightly distorted octahedral geometry.
