Abstract
Treatments of (κ3-polypyrazolylborato)(benzonitrile) complexes [RuCl{BR(pz)3}(PhCN)2] (pz = pyrazol-1-yl) with a 3,5-Me2-substituted polypyrazolylborate salt K[BH(pz*)3] (pz* = 3,5-Me2pz) produced (pyrazolato)(pyrazole) species [Ru{BR(pz)3}(pz*)(pz*H)2], and a tris(pyrazole) derivative [Ru{B(pz)4}(pz*H)3]BF4 worked as a novel halogeno-anion receptor. Moreover, [Ru{BH(pzâ²)3}(pzâ²)(pzâ²H)2] (pzâ²Â = 3,5-Me2-4-Brpz) and [Ru{BH(pzâ²)3}(pzâ²)(pzâ²H)(PhCN)] were also afforded from [RuCl2(PhCN)4] and K[BH(pzâ²)3].
