Abstract
The core of the structure of the title compound is a rhomboidal planar Sn2O2 ring. The tin centres have distorted octahedral geometries, with each Br ligand trans to an O atom. Extensive hydrogen bonds, involving all the Br, OH and H2O ligands as well as the water solvation molecules, result in a 3-D structure.
