Abstract
Reaction of platinum(II) salts with 5-ferrocenylpyrimidine (FcPM) afforded cis-[Pt(NH3)2(FcPM)2](PF6)2 (1), trans-[Pt(NH3)2(FcPM)2](PF6)2 (2), cis-[PtCl2(FcPM)2] (3), and cis-[PtCl2(DMSO)(FcPM)] (4): their spectroscopic and electrochemical properties were investigated. Complexes 1 and 2 were structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography.
