Abstract
► A new chromium(III) complex has been synthesized by the hydrothermal reaction in alkali medium. ► Heterogenous catalyst exhibits catalytic activity oxidation of thymol to thymoquinone. ► The compound shows high selectivity for thymoquinone ca. 100%.
