Abstract
An oxidation from PtIICl42â to PtIVCl62â in HCl aq. was studied by the in situ XAFS spectroelectrochemical method. This technique allows to monitor progress of the reaction and to identify the electrolyzed species from a structural point of view. The structural information from EXAFS is the additional advantage of this method over other spectroelectrochemical ones.
