Abstract
A series of group II metal coordination complexes, [Mg(H2O)6] · (a4-ptz)2 · 2H2O (1), [Ca(a4-ptz)2(H2O)2]n · 2nH2O (2), [Sr(a4-ptz)2(H2O)2]n · 2nH2O (3), and [Ba4(a4-ptz)8(H2O)8]n · 4nH2O have been synthesized by the conventional aqueous solution synthesis. Compound 1 have mononuclear structure, while Compound 2, 3 and 4 has a one-dimensional polymeric chain that are bridged by two water molecules linker.
