Abstract
Arylation of allylic substrates has been performed in stoichiometric conditions by the use of neutral or cationic aryl/palladium species. The initially formed organic moiety Ï-bonded to the metal can undergo two different β-elimination pathways. Homogeneous comparison is made with the behaviour of aryl/platinum species towards the same substrates.
