Abstract
A transition metal coordination polymer has been structurally characterized and found to contain a bridging TCNE radical anion in a novel bridging mode: geminal-μ2. Pi stacking of this formal radical anion with a second, uncoordinated, radical anion leads to a material that exhibits magnetic properties characteristic of the metal ions only.
