Abstract
Two different polynuclear imine-copper(II) complexes were prepared by a self-assembly process, with very different structural orientations: a polymeric complex with an infinite zig-zag-chain 3, and a cyclic-tetranuclear complex 4. Their structural characterization was mainly provided by ESI-MS/MS, EPR spectra and magnetic data, and their catalytic activity in the oxidation of 3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol were compared.
