Abstract
CuBrSe3 was synthesized by the reaction between Se and CuBr2 in ethylene glycol solvent at 100 °C. During the process, CuBr2 was reduced to brom-complex of Cu(I) by EG solvent, then the complexes assembled with Se chains. As a result, CuBr helical chains were obtained, followed by the formation of CuBrSe3 crystal.
