Abstract
Three Cd(II) coordination polymers derived from 4-(imidazol-1-yl)-benzoic acid have been designed and prepared in the existence of different anion ions. 1 is a 1D chain consisting of Cd2Cl2 units. 2 is a 2D layer with a bis(carboxylate-O,Oâ²)-Cd(II) dimeric unit. 3 is a twofold interpenetrated 3D network with a helical chain bridged by azide. These results show significant anion-dependent effect on the formation of network structures.
