Abstract
The new palladium N-heterocyclic carbene complexes are prepared and fully characterized using elemental analysis, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, LC-MS and FT-IR spectroscopy techniques. Also, 1d complex was structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The new PdII complexes in the direct C5 arylation of 2-n-propylthiazole, 2-n-butylfuran and 2-n-butylthiophene with various aryl halides were tested as catalysts. It has observed that under the given conditions these complexes exhibit quite high catalytic activities.
