Abstract
The reactions of trans-[PtCl2(NCMe)2] with cyclopropyl-, cyclopentyl- and cyclohexylamine afford a mixtures of neutral and cationic products, i.e. trans-[PtCl2(Amidine)2], trans-[PtCl(Amine)(Amidine)2]Cl and trans-[Pt(Amine)2(Amidine)2]Cl2. The X-ray structure of shows a supramolecular arrangement based only on hydrogen short contacts.
