Abstract
Solvolysis of [Cr(NCCH3)5(NO)](PF6)2 in dimethyl sulfoxide (dmso) leads to the formation of [Cr(dmso)5(NO)](PF6)2. A photosensitized release of nitric oxide from this complex was observed.
