Abstract
The EtCN/CO substitution has been studied in chloro-complexes of platinum(II). Carbon monoxide reacts with (cis + trans)-PtCl2(NCEt)2 to an equilibrium mixture containing cis-PtCl2(CO)2 and the two geometrical isomers of PtCl2(CO)(NCEt).
