Abstract
The effects of high external pressures on the infrared and Raman spectra of the solid trans-Pt[PPh(CF3CF2)2]2Cl2 have been studied at the pressures up to â¼50Â kbar. There is a gradual pressure-induced phase transition observed in the 21-34Â kbar range. The C-F stretching modes of the CF3 groups are more sensitive to pressure than the corresponding modes of the CF2 groups.
