Abstract
The crystal structures of seven compounds containing guanidinium or substituted guanidinium cations and derivatives of the sulfonated phosphine PPh2C6H4-m-SO3- are reported. The effects on the supramolecular structure of inclusion of the trans-[IrCl(CO)(PPh2C6H4-m-SO3)2]2â anion is investigated, along with those of substitution on the cation and incorporation of a phosphine oxide group which is a competing hydrogen bond acceptor.
