Synthesis of [{Os3(CO)10(μ2-H)}2{μ2,μ2-NC6H4C6H4N}] and [{Os3(CO)9(μ2-H)PPh3}2{μ2,μ2-NC6H4C6H4N}]: Carbon-carbon bond formation promoted by organorhodium species

Coupling of two phenyl amido units {NC6H5} into a biphenyl amido ligand via the formation of a C-C bond is observed in two newly synthesized complexes, [{Os3(CO)10}2{μ-NC6H4C6H4N}] (1) and [{Os3(CO)9PPh3}2{μ-NC6H4C6H4N}] (3).
