Abstract
The reaction of Co2+ ion with 1,12-bis(2-pyridyl)-5,8-dioxa-2,11-diazadodecane (pydado) or 1,12-bis(2-pyridyl)-5,8-dithia-2,11-diazadodecane ligands leads to cobalt(II) compounds. Oxidizing of the thioether complex with hydrogen peroxide leads to bis[3-(2-pyridylmethylamino)ethanesulfinate] cobalt(III) compound.
