Abstract
The mechanism for the abnormal reswelling of some aromatic polymer gels in concentrated KF solutions was elucidated by swelling study, elemental analysis, XPS and computational methods. The strong polarization effect of Fâ and (phenyl)CHâ¯Fâ(H2O)n interaction are two important ingredients for the reswelling of gels.
