Abstract
(PhSO2)2CFI was prepared in quantitative yield by the iodination of fluorobis(phenylsulfonyl)methane and utilized in facile radical bis(phenylsulfonyl)monofluoromethylation of various terminal alkenes. The synthetic methodology was further extended for the preparation of monofluoromethyl-substituted alkenes.
