The tin atom in the solid-state structure of {2-[(CH3)2NCH2]C6H4}nBu2SnF is five coordinated with carbon atoms in equatorial and fluorine and nitrogen atoms in axial positions. The fluorination of {2-[(CH3)2NCH2]C6H4}nBuSnCl2 is described by NMR methods. The successful attempts to fluorinate various chlorosilanes, chlorophosphine and metal halides are also reported.
Graphical abstractThe solid-state structure of {2-[(CH3)2NCH2]C6H4}nBu2SnF was studied by XRD techniques. Products of fluorination of {2-[(CH3)2NCH2]C6H4}nBuSnCl2 by different methods are described by NMR spectroscopy. The successful attempts to fluorinate various chlorosilanes, chlorophosphine and metal halides by {2-[(CH3)2NCH2]C6H4}nBu2SnF are reported.Figure optionsDownload full-size imageDownload as PowerPoint slide
