Abstract
Modulation of brain metal dyshomeostasis in neurodegenerative patients is crucial and so a set of cysteinyl-tacrine hybrid derivatives with anti-neurodegenerative properties was reevaluated for their possible extra-role as modulators of copper concentration and involvement on Aβ aggregation. These moderate Cu(II) chelators proved to improve inhibition of Aβ aggregation in the presence of copper.
