Abstract
The reaction of 3-(phenyl)-2-sulfanylpropenoic acid (H2pspa) with lead(II), dimethyl- and diphenyllead(IV) was studied, as well as the protective effect of H2pspa, its Zn(II) complex and H2pspa + vitamin B6 on the cytotoxicity of PbR22+ (R = Me, Ph) on pig renal cells, and the ability of these agents to decorporate lead from Pb-treated rats.
