Abstract
Treatment of (SiH2)(SiMe2tBu)2 (1), (SiH3)SiH(SiMe2tBu)2 (2) with Pt(dcpe)(PEt3)2 (dcpe = Cy2PCH2CH2PCy2) in the ratio of 2:1:1 in one pot leads to a novel complex {(SiH)(SiMe2tBu)2}(SiH3)PtII(dcpe) (3), which is the first example of bis(silyl) platinum(II) complex bearing a SiH3 ligand structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray analysis and multinuclear NMR spectroscopic studies.
