Abstract
Binuclear cycloplatinated(II) complexes with general formula of [Pt2Me2(CËN)2(μ-dppac)], in which CËN = deprotonated 2-phenylpyridine (ppy) or deprotonated benzo{h}quinoline (bhq) and dppac = 1,1â²-bis(diphenylphosphino)acetylene, are synthesized and the kinetics and mechanism of oxidative addition of MeI to these complexes are studied.
