The reaction of cyanuric chloride and two disubstituted derivatives with [Pd(PPh3)4] is described, leading to the trans-triazinyl complexes [(PPh3)2Pd(C3N3R2)Cl] 2a–c (R = Ph (a), t-Bu (b), Cl (c)) in good to excellent yield via oxidative addition. The complexes were fully characterized including X-ray structure determination.
