Abstract
⺠Oxidative addition of Se-Se bond across Re-Re bond in presence of azine ligands ⺠Self-assembly of six components results into a metallacycle with pyridyl groups ⺠Molecular structures are elucidated by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. ⺠Steric hindrance disrupts soft interactions with expansion of void in metallacycles ⺠Metallacycles with a shape of tweezers exhibit molecular recognition properties.
