Abstract
The compound, [Ru(dppe)2(CH3CN)Cl][BPh4] (1) has been synthesized from the precursor complex, [(PPh3)2Ru(CH3CN)3Cl][BPh4]. The complex has been structurally characterized. This complex has been found to be an efficient catalyst for the anti-Markovnikov addition of carboxylic acids to alkynes.
