Abstract
The reactions of μ-vinylidene complexes [Cp(CO)2RePd(μ-CCHPh)(P-P) (P-P = dppe and dppp)] with [Fe2(CO)9] were studied. The main products of both reactions were trinuclear μ3-vinylidene clusters [CpReFePd(μ3-CCHPh)(CO)5(P-P)] (P-P = dppe, dppp) that are able to further react with [Fe2(CO)9].
