Abstract
Addition of β-hydroxyisonitriles towards aldehydes gives rise to hydroxyalkyl oxazolines, an interesting class of bidentate chiral ligands. This concept allows a very easy ligand tuning and optimization of the ligand structure as illustrated in a first example.
