Cross-coupling of divinylorganosilicon compounds with vinylboranes in the presence of complexes containing Ru–H bonds (preferably [Ru(CO)ClH(PCy3)2]) leads to formation of borylfunctionalized dienes, which can be potentially used as monomers for polymerization reactions or reagents in Pd-catalyzed coupling. The influence of the catalyst, temperature, time and molar ratio of substrates and Ru-complex on the yields and selectivities of the obtained products were tested.
Graphical abstractCross-coupling of divinylorganosilicon compounds with vinylboranes in the presence of complexes containing Ru–H bonds is described.
