This work reports the synthesis and characterization of new ferrocene derivatives functionalized with one or two α-methylene-γ-butyrolactone rings. These compounds were prepared via Reformatsky-type reaction between carbonyl ferrocene derivatives and ethyl 2-bromomethylacrylate in 33–85% yields.
