Abstract
Reaction of the tetradentate ligand DPPEPM with appropriate metal precursors leads to complexes of the form [PtR2(DPPEPM-PP)] (1, R = Me; 2, R = Ph), [M(DPPEPM-PP)2][MCl4] (3, M = Pd; 4, M = Pt) or [MR(DPPEPM-PPP)]Cl (6, M = Pt, R = Me; 7, M = Pt, R = Ph; 8, M = Pd, R = Me). Each of these has uncoordinated P atoms that can be utilized in the formation of bi- or trimetallic derivatives.
