Abstract
Reaction of the tetradentate ligand DPPEPM with appropriate metal precursors leads to complexes of the form [PtR2(DPPEPM-PP)] (1, RÂ =Â Me; 2, RÂ =Â Ph), [M(DPPEPM-PP)2][MCl4] (3, MÂ =Â Pd; 4, MÂ =Â Pt) or [MR(DPPEPM-PPP)]Cl (6, MÂ =Â Pt, RÂ =Â Me; 7, MÂ =Â Pt, RÂ =Â Ph; 8, MÂ =Â Pd, RÂ =Â Me). Each of these has uncoordinated P atoms that can be utilized in the formation of bi- or trimetallic derivatives.
