Abstract
The binuclear cyclopalladated compound [(μ2-OH)2Pd2(C^N)2] (HC^N = p-(Bu2nN)-C6H4-CHN-C6H4-NO2-p) reacts with CS2 to give [(μ3-S)(μ3-OH)Pd3(C^N)3], which contains a (μ3-S)(μ3-OH)Pd3 core that forces an all-cis arrangement of the three orthometalated ligands. The complexation of the imine produces a reduction of β(0) contribution per imine moiety (â17% variation) compared to the free imine.
