Abstract
The new titanium complex Cp*TiMe2(dpa) (1) (Cp* = η5-C5Me5; dpa = di(2-pyridyl)amide) has been synthesized by reaction of Cp*TiMe3 with Hdpa. Reaction of Cp*TiCl3 or Cp*TaCl4 with Lidpa renders Cp*TiCl2(dpa) (2) or Cp*TaCl3(dpa) (3), respectively. On the other hand, Ti(NMe2)4 reacts with Hdpa to yield Ti(NMe2)2(dpa)2 (4). The molecular structures of 3 and 4 have been established by X-ray diffraction methods.
