Abstract
A number of Ph3Sn(IV)+ complexes were obtained with ligands containing -OH or -COOH group(s) and aromatic {N} donor atom. The coordination sites of the ligands were determined by FT-IR spectroscopic measurements. The experimental 119Sn Mössbauer nuclear quadrupole splittings - according to the point charge model formalism - support the formation of Tbp or Oh molecular structures. The triphenyltin(IV)-3-phenolato-2(1H)-pyridinone-O,Oâ² complex was obtained as single crystals. The X-ray diffraction studies revealed that the central {Sn} atom is in Tbp environment.
