Abstract
Five new chiral germanium substituted diethyltin dicarboxylates have been synthesized and characterized by multinuclear (1H, 13C, 119Sn) NMR, 119mSn Mössbauer and IR spectroscopy.2R31GeCH(R2)CH2COOH+Et2SnOârefluxToluene[R31GeCH(R2)CH2COO]2SnEt2+H2OThe X-ray structure of the precursor I4 clearly depicts chiral center in the carboxylate portion of the compound which was further confirmed by the measurement of rotation angle.
